My name is Jimmy Ho, and I'm a photographer who specializes in creative portraits and photojournalistic wedding photography. A wedding is one of life's greatest events and is a key moment in every family history. I take great care and detail to document weddings so that my images tell the unique story of each wedding that can be enjoyed for generations.
This attention to detail can be seen in the fact that I treat each individual image with the utmost care - one by one. Every image from a wedding is one of a kind, and I believe each one deserves the best artistry I can provide both while photographing and afterwards during post production. To this end, I create stunning, emotion-filled, meaningful and fresh images for my clients.
I first became interested in photography nearly two decades ago when my father taught me how to use his manual-focus film camera and I have been fascinated with the art of photography ever since. My background in photography includes experience ranging from local and sporting event coverage to newspaper reportage to developing images in a professional photographic lab. I am also a member of Professional Photographers of America. While I enjoy all types of photography, I prefer wedding photography for the challenge of creating artistic images from the spontaneous and fleeting moments typical of weddings.
My studio is based in Gainesville, Florida where I reside with my loving wife and our daughter. My wife, April, is also my business partner, lead album designer, and in charge of product fulfillment. I am available for weddings throughout Florida and Georgia and the rest of the southeast. The images on this blog are highlights from recent weddings and other photographic work. I hope you enjoy the images and invite you to check back often for updates.

He showed up with his awesome Gibson guitar..check it out!

October and Doyle had a beautiful outdoor sunset and evening wedding. Held at the lakehouse at Camp Blanding, their wedding was full of joy and tears..not to mention some serious partying!! Here are a few highlights from their wedding (more to come later).

It got dark rather quickly. Before we knew it, it was so dark we could barely see anything in front of us. I set up some studio lights and created a light stage, and they danced on through the night!

Molliann and Russell are getting married in just a little over a month! I met up with these two lovebirds for a gorgeous engagement session at the Thomas Center, and we had a blast!
We’re working on a custom guest signature book for these two, and just had to share some images we think would be great for it. Here are some highlights from their engagement session.

Hey everyone. I just got back from photographing Carlee and Daniel’s awesome engagement session on the UF Campus. Gator fans are gonna love this one!
We started out meeting Albert & Alberta and got some great shots with them. Then we made our way to the Ben Hill Griffin stadium to take some stunning photos from up top. Laslty, we visited the Baughman Center for some night photos.
I had a great time getting to know these two lovebirds and look forward to photographing their wedding next year!

Hey all. I just got back from shooting Katherine and Jeremy’e Engagement session at the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. Talk about lots of greenery!! This place is gorgeous and is quite large. Between the heat and fighting off the local wildlife (gnats, and other little things that fly around), we were still able to have some fun take some great pictures. Here’s just a few images from their session.
