Jimmy Ho Photography - Gainesville Wedding Photographer bio picture

About the Artist

My name is Jimmy Ho, and I'm a photographer who specializes in creative portraits and photojournalistic wedding photography.  A wedding is one of life's greatest events and is a key moment in every family history.  I take great care and detail to document weddings so that my images tell the unique story of each wedding that can be enjoyed for generations.

This attention to detail can be seen in the fact that I treat each individual image with the utmost care - one by one.  Every image from a wedding is one of a kind, and I believe each one deserves the best artistry I can provide both while photographing and afterwards during post production.  To this end, I create stunning, emotion-filled, meaningful and fresh images for my clients.

I first became interested in photography nearly two decades ago when my father taught me how to use his manual-focus film camera and I have been fascinated with the art of photography ever since.  My background in photography includes experience ranging from local and sporting event coverage to newspaper reportage to developing images in a professional photographic lab.  I am also a member of Professional Photographers of America.  While I enjoy all types of photography, I prefer wedding photography for the challenge of creating artistic images from the spontaneous and fleeting moments typical of weddings.

My studio is based in Gainesville, Florida where I reside with my loving wife and our daughter.  My wife, April, is also my business partner, album designer, and handles product fulfillment.  I am available for weddings throughout Florida and Georgia and the rest of the southeast.  The images on this blog are highlights from recent weddings and other photographic work.  I hope you enjoy the images and invite you to check back often for updates.

Sabrina & Bo’s Wedding

Just this past weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing Sabrina and Bo’s Wedding.  They were incredibly sweet and their wedding was very touching.

I came along for the whole day and even got to ride in their limo!  Their wedding was a success filled with very touching moments, one of which even coaxed a tear from my eye.

I also had the opportunity to work with Angela Renick of Avie, which was definitely a treat!  Here are some highlights from this special day.

I had a fantastic time at their wedding.  Thank you Sabrina and Bo, for having me along.  You and your families are beautiful and may your marriage be filled with happiness!

Angela - Jimmy,
You did such a great job. I enjoyed seeing your vision for some new angles at some old places in Gainesville.
Thank you for all you did for Bo and Sabrina. I enjoyed working with you.

Sabrina - Jimmy, Bo and I cannot even begin to find words to thank you for all you did for us!! I wasn't sure the pictures could get any better than the engagement session pictures, yet I am blown away by the few of our wedding you have posted!! They are so beautiful and captivating!! We could not have asked for anyone better than you and we are so grateful to have had you brought into our lives by Angela (A'vie). You went out of your way as well as above and beyond for us. For that we will forever be in your debt! We hope that you took enough time for yourself to enjoy or wedding, too! We were and continue to feel honored that you chose to spend your day with US!! I cannot wait to see the rest of the pictures and cannot wait to work with you again...we do, after all, have a new addition on the way!! :)
